Job Description

We are recruiting Trainee Field Technicians to join a growing team supporting water industry projects across your local region. No previous experience is required, just a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work outdoors in a hands on role.

Training Provided
You will gain accredited qualifications including:

  • EUSR Water Hygiene Training
  • Unit 2 Street Works (NRSWA)

The Role
This is a practical, field-based role working outdoors, supporting leak detection activities across the water network.
Your daily duties will include:

  • Deploying and retrieving noise loggers (specialist listening devices) across local water networks
  • Working within District Metered Areas (DMAs) to identify potential leaks
  • Installing up to 80-100 devices per day on fire hydrants, valves and other network fittings
  • Collecting and downloading data from equipment to support leak investigations
  • Assisting in pinpointing leak locations across the network
  • Driving between sites and completing manual tasks including lifting, bending and stretching
  • Following health & safety procedures at all times

You will be trained to use specialist equipment which records leakage noise, helping teams accurately identify and locate underground leaks.

Trainee Field Technician Requirements
